02 CASA ITZAMNÁ

Casa Itzamná, located near Cobá in the Yucatán Peninsula, is a dedicated sanctuary for the endangered Melipona bee species and a beacon for preserving traditional Mayan medicine. Through its holistic health center, the sanctuary intertwines the ecological significance of these bees with indigenous healing practices and community empowerment.

03 SOTOL CONSERVATION

We are collaborating with environmental activist Sandro Canovas to protect the Sotol plant and its Chihuahua desert ecosystem from cultural appropriation and corporate exploitation. Through expert consultations and advocacy, we're promoting ethical sourcing, sustainable practices, and respect for the cultural traditions surrounding Sotol cultivation and its revered drink.

04 AGAVEPUNK “Pulqueer Delicioso”

Agavepunk's “PULQUEER delicioso” embarks on a journey to rediscover the deep-rooted ties between Queerness and pulque, unearthing the forgotten significances embedded in Mexican culture's core. The Agave plant's storied history, along with pulque, its derived drink, intertwines with Queerness: from revered sources of hydration and spirituality to subjects of persecution under Catholic dominance. Through this pop-up Pulquería, Agavepunk beckons attendees to embrace Queer history, celebrating the transformative magic intrinsic to both pulque and Queer identity.
