01 MANOS AMIGUES

Manos Amigues is a pioneering LGBTQ+ community center and soup kitchen located in Mexico City's Guerrero neighborhood. Founded in 2021 by an experienced mutual aid group, the center serves as a sanctuary, offering over 5,000 meals a month in an art-infused space while challenging homophobia and transphobia. Hosting free events from concerts to art exhibitions, it bridges the gap between the LGBTQ+ community and the wider society. By donating, supporters help fuel a haven that uplifts, celebrates, and nourishes both the body and soul.

In our collaboration with Manos Amigues, we're providing indispensable support through financial projections, business planning, project management, and communication strategy. Additionally, we're exploring the creation of a direct supply chain between local indigenous producers in Mexico City and Manos Amigues. By eliminating intermediaries, we aim to ensure a larger portion of our food budget directly benefits these producers. This initiative not only empowers the local community but also promises Manos Amigues patrons access to healthier, organic/agroecological food. Our combined efforts also span assistance in their fundraising endeavors.
